Course description

In China, students learn Chinese medicine over many years as a student of experienced teachers and later as a therapist from the experience in the clinic. The therapists develop their own abilities by observing many cases of various diseases.

Dr. Suzanne Robidoux has been working in neurology since her PhD work in 2007 in Nan Jing, treating patients with classical Chinese medicine. During these 5 days, she will discuss the efficacy of combined treatments with body acupuncture (TCM and Yuan Qi classical acupuncture), three styles of head acupuncture, classic moxa techniques and the classical approach of Zhang Zhong Jing’s classical herbal medicine, for chronic pain, neurological disorders such as multiple sclerosis, Parkinson’s disease and polyneuropathy show.

There is one hour of Tai He Qi Gong before each clinic day. This Qi Gong is taught directly by Padmasambhava of the Tibetan Buddhist Qi Gong and is very useful for all people, but especially for therapists. During the 5 days, the first form is fully taught, as well as its meaning and breathing exercises explained.

4-5 patients per day who can be introduced by the participants are diagnosed and treated so that the participants understand the disease and the treatments that are needed to resolve the symptoms in the sense of classical medicine.


Knowledge of acupuncture


All participants will receive a certificate of the “Arbeitsgemeinschaft für Klassische Akupunktur und TCM e.V.”

Course Language

The course will be in English with a translation into German.

The lecturer


Dr. Suzanne Robidoux is a renowned international teacher and author of Chinese medicine in Europe, Asia and North America. She has learned and practiced in China for the last 15 years. She teaches one of the 3 classical acupuncture techniques from Taiwan effective for rapid pain management, three different scalp acupuncture techniques from Bei Jing, Shang Hai and Nan Jing, traditional and modern moxa techniques and well as classical medicine inculding Daoist medicine and more. Dr. Robidoux completed her doctorate’s education in Nanjing with a clinical research on treating neurological pain. She is currently completing her post doctoral clinical research on the classical system of the Shang Han Za Bing Lun with classical expert Dr. Feng Shi lun and the Beijing University of Chinese Medicine. She has also founded an international teaching portal online as well as various types of clinical internships in China in hope to transmit valuable teachings from China to dedicated practitioners in the west. Meanwhile she also enjoys practicing internal martial arts such as Ba Gua Zhang and Qi Gong.
