Course desrciption

Treating gynaecological diseases determine a large part of modern Chineses Medicine practice. Many of them are not simple ailments such as menstrual pain or PMS, but diagnoses of complex endocrine or hormonal conditions, e.g. estrogen or progesterone excess or deficiency, hypothyroidism. According to the diagnostic frameworks in Chinese Medicine there is an underlying imbalance of jing present with specific endocrine syndromes. These can be directly addressed with certain essential oils and herbs that are known to modulate specific hormones. In addition, with the inhalation of essential oils, we can balance the Shen aspect of endocrine imbalances. Taking emotional problems into account is often the key to a successful treatment.

This systemic, functional approach presented during this seminar holds several key benefits in everyday clinical practice: First, understanding the endocrine dynamics of a disease can dramatically improve our treatment strategy, giving us an excellent and not just acceptable treatment outcome.

Secondly, it offers much more targeted treatment options, including essential oils such as geranium, clary sage, rose, ylang ylang, black spruce and herbs such as Vitex, black cohosh, white peony, rhodiola / rose root and ashwaghanda. In addition, educating our patients through this integrative perspective strengthens their confidence in a positive treatment outcome.

This innovative seminar will cover topics such as:…

  • Why the systemic treatment of hormonal imbalances is crucial for all women, regardless of age, symptoms or disease.
  • How to recognize and treat systemic patterns of functional endocrine imbalances as a pattern in Chinese Medicine’s framework.
  • Using the concept of the ‚6 pernicous influences‘ and their impact on for example pelvic neuralgia, estrogen and progesterone deficiency / excess, hypothyroidism and electrolyte imbalances.
  • Selection and administration of essential essential oils, herbs and nutrients for all of the discussed syndromes – with the application of oils to acupuncture points.
  • Safe and effective external applications such as vaginal serums, sponges, pessaries etc.
  • The systemic analysis and treatment of many important clinically relevant symptoms and disorders including menstrual disorders, PMS, fibroids, PCO, menorrhagia, menopausal syndromes.
  • Summary profiles of essential oils and herbs used in the treatment of hormonal imbalances such as black cohosh, saw palmetto and many others.
